Default My new Silver 84 RS

A few weeks ago I mentioned I had purchased an 84 RS for sale on Craigslist in California. I said that I was paying with Escrow.com per a suggestion of someone here. I also transported the car from California through American auto transport. I wanted to let everyone who asked know that both the transaction for with Escrow.com and the transport of the car were both without issue.

It has taken a couple of weeks with work, cold temperatures and some things that needed immediate attention on the car but here are some pictures. The car is an all original car with no rust at all and only a few small dings. The paint is thirty year old silver and it will buff through to primer before it really shines. It needs paint. Everything else is stock or original and should really be a great foundation for my new project. Mechanically anything that needs attention from neglect and time would be getting a complete rework as part of the redo so I am very happy with the car. Other than dirty the interior is excellent but, leather is on the list. I can't wait to get pictures of it when it is completed next to my red 84 RS! For now I just put one in ther of the red one too.

Thanks for all the comments. I am sure I will be asking for all of you to help me with how get things done on this car. I plan on going further into this car than I did my red one so I'll need good advice as it progresses.
No, I am no planning on keeping the AR wheels that are on the car. I'll be going to five lug. The wheels are in great shape, if you are interested. They might need to stay on the car for a bit though.

    Sweet looking Capri Congrats!

The red one is nice too, but I am partial to silver myself!

that looks like a great car to start with!

i remember seeing pictures of your red capri way back in the mercury rising days with a white 84 rs on 5 spoke american racing wheels. is that car still around? would be cool to see all 3 together! those cars were a huge influence for how i had mine painted.

Sport seats, T tops, Good year, nice car! Congrats. I am sure you will do it justice.
That interior has the potential to look brand new with just a thorough cleaning it appears.
